Alpha Technologies USA recently bought the 87k SF 704 N King St building in the Wilmington CBD, where the company will occupy about 45k SF. Colliers VP Rick Kingery, who repped Alpha in the deal, says that to have a global tech company like Alpha select Wilmington—over a multitude of other options—is an indication that the area has the tech workforce, transportation and new housing infrastructure to attract new businesses in the tech field.
Bucks County-based Alpha Technologies, which provides IT consulting services to Fortune 1000 corporations, will occupy the space over three floors. The facility will be Alpha’s first COE (Center of Excellence) captive site, offering what's called “On-Shore Off-Site” IT managed services for clients looking for “on-shore” managed services with benefits of “off-shore,” according to the company. Also, Alpha Technologies will create a SME (subject matter expert) IT training center for new graduates at the location.
