Media Gets TOD

Cornell Homes will soon be breaking ground on 112 townhomes in the borough of Media for a development called the Reserve at Rose Tree. The three-bedroom homes will include two-car garages and three different floor plans with up to 4k SF of living space. In addition to a gazebo and even a bocce court (be careful, bocce games can get heated very quickly), Cornell prez Greg Lingo says the location is prime: “you’re a bike ride away from downtown Media and its great shops and restaurants.” The SEPTA regional rail and 69th Street trolley are also close by this transit-oriented development.

The third-biggest home builder in the area, Cornell was acquired by Ryland Homes last year, and Greg tells us they’ve been the perfect partners for growth. “They know we have the reputation for home-building excellence and they want to continue their growth into Greater Philadelphia through us,” he tells us. Cornell’s strategy for infill construction has kept them ahead of competitors: you’ll also find their townhomes in transit-centered spots like Haverford, Pottstown, Doylestown, and Bensalem.
