Delaware's Economic Recovery is No Fluke

The last year has seen strong numbers in Delaware's economy, and according to Buccini/Pollin Group co-president Chris Buccini that won't be changing anytime soon. That's why we're excited to host Bisnow's Future of Delaware Real Estate tomorrow (June 18) at the Chase Center on the Waterfront in Wilmington beginning at 8am.

“The Delaware commercial market has thrived over the past 12 months," Chris, who will be a speaker at the event, tells us. The overall economy has improved, but the reason Delaware's doing so well is more fundamental. "The northern Delaware economy has transformed into a financial services hub no longer dominated by a handful of global firms, but by many," Chris explains.

When the global firms in Delaware grow, they expand significantly, Chris adds. One reason they're able to do so—it's a main attraction for the region —is because of its supply of well-trained employees. That pool of talents goes back to MBNA and its culture. Last month, Buccini/Pollin completed the purchase of two New Castle County office parks totaling 485k SF, bringing the company's share of the Delaware office market to 3.2M SF.
