Walker & Dunlop Leads Series A Investment In Rentlytics

Walker & Dunlop has originated billions of dollars of financing for real estate transactions, but its latest venture is a few million to further the growth of San Francisco-based real estate technology company Rentlytics.

The lending firm led a $9.1M Series A funding round, which will help Rentlytics expand its platform that allows the owners and managers of multifamily assets to gather, analyze and visualize a range of data.

"Rentlytics’ software provides an insightful, comprehensive view of the financial and operational performance of a property," Walker & Dunlop CEO Willy Walker (above) says. "We decided to make a strategic investment in Rentlytics because of the value we see in this platform. Property owners, operators, developers, lenders, and investment sales professionals will find this software powerful and compelling.”

Rentlytics platform launched almost exactly one year ago. Although Walker & Dunlop isn't in the property management or development arena, GlobeSt reports that it plans on using its equity in Rentlytics to develop a similar platform for multifamily lenders.
