Spotify Is Negotiating With One WTC, Four WTC For Huge Lease

The World Trade Center is about to come alive with the sound of music.

Swedish music streaming juggernaut Spotify is nearing a deal to move its US HQ from 140k SF at 620 Avenue of the Americas to possibly 350k SF at One or Four World Trade Center,the New York Post reports.

Spotify is currently valued at $8B after a $1B convertible debt raise this spring, and CEO Daniel Elk is expected to launch an IPO next spring.

One World Trade Center has 510k SF available for lease at $69/ SF, including a 5k SF portion of the 64th floor’s sky lobby. Silverstein Properties’ Four World Trade Center has 500k SF available, including 463k SF of contiguous space from the 59th to 72nd floors. The building is leased by a CBRE and Silverstein team and has asking rents in the $70s per SF. [NYP]
