GREEN BIG APPLE: All About Results

Everyone talks about sustainability initiatives, but not as much about the results—and there’s a continuing interest from the real estate community to hear about the outcomes, whether sustainability measures mattered, and to what degree, says CBRE national director of sustainability Dave Pogue, who'll speaking at Bisnow’s New York Sustainability Summit this Friday.
It’s about figuring out what data is significant, how to extract and analyze that data, and perceiving risk, David points out. Hundreds of companies are now creating new products to help both investor owners and corporate occupiers analyze that data: software and hardware aimed at data collection and management, and energy efficiency products for lighting, controls, mechanical systems, alternative energy systems, electric vehicle charging stations, window systems, and every other aspect of a building. Dave says CBRE has been fielding many calls and emails from clients wanting to learn more, and with the massive wave of new products coming to the market, it’s working on evaluating and introducing these tools to help clients become smarter about energy efficiency. Want to hear more?
