Milrose Consultants tracks codes, zonings, embargoes, and other construction related intricacies, so we figured tracking them would point us toward construction activity. The municipal permit expediting and building code consulting firm has just expanded to Philly, with plans for more; but don’t worry, it’s still HQ’d here (with offices NJ and LI, too). Recent projects include Ogilvy & Mather's move to 636 Eleventh and the NY Law School’s new 200k-SF at 185 West Broadway. Above, partners Domenick Chieco, William Rose, and Gustavo Mazza.
Execs Jaclyn DiRenzo and Ken Kochiss laid out some of its other services: code and zoning advice, rollouts, expediting permits by filing documents on your behalf, interpreting difficult building code issues, and conducting due diligence on permitted uses in spaces and building conditions. Advice: Get ‘em in early—Milrose has to work backwards from occupancy date to assure all approvals and work is processed on time. To see the 110-person, 21-year-old firm now would be a surprise considering its humble roots in a small office on Main St, Flushing. If only those Mets could grow as exponentially.
