Bouwinvest Real Estate Investors is looking to bring external investors into its €10.5B international investment business.
The €18.5B investment firm is offering potential institutional clients access to its long-running strategy across “listed and private markets in Europe, North America and Asia Pacific,” it said in a statement.

In addition to managing international investment through its multiclient model in the Netherlands, Bouwinvest also manages international real estate investments for its shareholder and main client, pension fund bpfBouw. It now wants to bring new investors into that platform.
Investment managers with historical links to Dutch pension funds like Bouwinvest have been trying to win new clients in recent years, as those pension funds reach "peak AUM" after decades of strong growth.
Working with investment teams in Amsterdam, New York and Sydney, Bouwinvest deploys a mix of direct, fund and listed-property investments, shifting between regions and sectors as markets move, an approach that it claims delivers stronger returns relative to risk over the long term.
The expansion comes as the global repricing of real estate continues, with Bouwinvest Managing Director of International Investments Jasper Petit foreseeing the “start of a new cycle,” making now an “excellent moment in time to invest.”
In an interview with Bisnow earlier this year, Bouwinvest Chief Executive Mark Siezen said the firm continued to see opportunities to invest in the U.S., despite continued economic and political volatility in the country.
“We believe in the strong fundamentals, in the entrepreneurial spirit, the strong economy of the United States,” he said.
“Of course, we're concerned about governance aspects, and of course, we're monitoring closely in terms of what that means for the risk profile of our investments. But for now, we haven't paused.”
The company likes sectors with strong demographic tailwinds such as senior living, multifamily and data centers, he said. It is also seeing deals in repriced sectors like office and convenience-led retail.
