Landmark Waterfront Buildings Sold

CBRE announced today it has sold Maple Leaf Quay, a three-building, mixed-use apartment complex at the base of the CN Tower, for just over $150M. The buyer is a private, Vancouver-based investor. The 502-unit Maple Leaf Quay has been around since 1988, part of an earlier attempt to re-develop Torontos waterfront. Says CBRE Executive VP David Montressor in a statement: There is strong demand for the full spectrum of multi-residential assets due to the stable returns they provide and the significant amount of capital that is chasing a limited number of available properties.

(Correction: Tuesday we mistakenly referred to Joe Pennachetti as Torontos City Planner. That was an error. Joe is of course the City Manager. Our mistake. Sorry folks.)
