Huntingdon Capital Corp. announced yesterday that their earlier offer to take over KEYreit for $8 cash per KEYreit unit would be their best and final offer. That offer would expire this Thursday. Last week Plazacorp Retail Properties Ltd., which had been going head-to-head with Huntingdon for control of the John Bitove-led (photo) small-box retail property owner, upped their offer to $8.35 in cash and stock, with unanimous support from the KEYreit board. Plazacorp and KEYreit issued a news release this morning making the case again as to why their offer is more attractive.
