Master Plan Selected for Olive View-UCLA Medical Center

A new master plan submitted by SmithGroupJJR has been selected for the Olive View-UCLA Medical Center in Sylmar. The “Nature’s Edge” plan calls for a more sustainable, growth-oriented community that will be able to accommodate campus expansion well into the future. SmithGroupJJR submitted four plans but the overall green element of Nature’s Edge was considered the most suitable. Future plans for the campus include a new hospital, a medical office building and an outpatient clinic. The plan will be reviewed by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors and requires an Environmental Impact Report before becoming official. [MHN]
