West LA Project To Soon Break Ground

On Butler, LA

Construction could start in April for a residential project at 11421 West Olympic Blvd known as On Butler.

Renderings from architect Farhad Ashofteh show the six-story building would include about 6,500 SF of commercial space and 70 apartments with seven units of affordable housing to be built by Hypericum Cos, Urbanize LA reports.

Ashofteh told Bisnow the project will bring "badly needed housing to an area that has a large shortage of housing, along with small commercial spaces that will serve the neighborhood."

The developer worked with local neighbors, LA City Councilman Mike Bonin and his office, and the staff at the LA Planning Department to create a project that had community support. [ULA]
