Heavy market rate development in Koreatown and Downtown LA has inevitably overflowed into Westlake. According to plans filed with the city of LA, Pacific Parkview, an LLC linked to SAFCO Capital Corp, is planning a mixed-use complex on a .93-acre site at Eighth Street and Park View Avenue, a block south of MacArthur Park. The project will replace a two-story commercial building at 2405 West 8th St (pictured) with a five-story complex containing 144 residential units, 4.4k SF of street-level retail and a 167-car garage.
