Metropolis’ Phase 2 project is making progress. Phase 2 includes Harley Ellis Devereux’s 40-story R2 tower, which topped out in September, and HED’s 56-story R3 tower, which topped out in May.

Greenland USA’s high-rise development adjacent to the 110 Freeway will add more than 1,200 condominiums to the DTLA skyline when R2 is completed in April 2018, according to Harley Ellis Devereaux business development guru Roy Reel.

Phase 2 also features a large 1.5-acre amenity deck and structured parking for over 1,800 cars.

Gensler is the design architect for Phase 1 and Phase 2.

The nine-level retail/parking podium in the 21-story low-stack building and R2 high-rise tower and related mid-rise building are being built by Webcor.

R3’s 27-level low-stack is scheduled to be completed in June 2019, with the high-rise expected to be completed in October 2019.
