Startup Crowdfunder AssetAvenue Names New CEO

Less than six months after joining AssetAvenue as chief investment office, Varun Pathria (here with son Nirvaan, daughter Aryana and wife Maria) has been named the LA-based crowdfunding company's new CEO.

David Manshoory, who seeded the initial development and growth of the company, will shift to the role of president. David raised $15M in investor funding since inception, including securing the $11M Series A funding led by global venture capital firm DCM Ventures.

Before joining AssetAvenue in May, Varun was an SVP with real estate private equity firm Colony Capital. During his time at Colony, Varun closed on deals in excess of $20B.
