Lendlease Launches Super-Green Residential Development In Central London

Lendlease is launching a new eco-friendly residential development at Elephant Park, the company’s regeneration project in Elephant & Castle. Futurehome will consist of 15 three- and four-bedroom eco-friendly properties available for purchase later this year. Each Victorian-style townhouse will be built to the PassivHaus standard.

Passivhaus, a low-energy construction standard developed in Germany, is the world’s most highly esteemed accreditation scheme for ultra-energy-efficient living. Futurehome will be the first homes in London’s zone one to conform to the standard. Lendlease CEO Dan Labbad said Elephant Park is set to be one of the most sustainable major urban regeneration projects in the country.

A spokesperson for the company told Bisnow there is potential to roll out Futurehome in other markets, as well.
