LBS Properties broke ground on The Madison, a new 53-storey residential tower adjacent to Canary Wharf.

Designed by Make Architects, the Madison will feature 423 new luxury homes, according to World Property Journal, and the slender footprint will allow 70% of the site to be new public realm with over half an acre of gardens.

Amenities at the Madison include a resident’s lounge, a gym, a screening room, business facilities, three terraces with 360-degree views of Canary Wharf and the City of London, and a spa with a pool, sauna and steam room.

The former office buildings occupying the site have been demolished, and piling works are underway. [WPJ]
