South Grove Regeneration Walthamstow will start work on its mixed-use project, now that the Greater London Authority has given its blessing.
The council aims to build 473 homes, commercial space, parking and amenity space around a community area that encourages interaction. About 100k SF will be dedicated to retail and food.
The walkability factor was specifically praised in the Council’s approval, noting the council will offer 776 cycle parking spaces and a shared cycle/pedestrian route to the South Grove frontage of the site.
