Nelson's Charitable Development

Nelson Commercial Properties just broke ground on Greens Road Business Center. The coolest part: Owner Jim Nelson created a trust and will put 10% of the profit from the industrial park into it. Down the road, he’ll donate the money to charity; he says philanthropy is a big part of his life and he’s always wanted to create a charitable arm to his company. Greens Road Business Center will be comprised of four office/warehouse buildings totaling 56k SF and sits on six acres near Highway 59 and Greens Road. The project’s being built spec—the buildings range from 10k to 18k SF and are for sale or lease. Jim formed Nelson Commercial Properties last year and has already acquired three and developed eight industrial projects across Texas, including building LKQ’s 102k SF regional HQ and distribution center on Aldine-Westfield and West Rail I and II, which total nine buildings and 138k SF.
