Biotech Firm Coming To Pearland

Lonza Group, a massive Swiss pharmaceutical company, plans to build a 100k SF biotech facility in Pearland that will replace Lonza’s existing Houston operations. The new facility will be on an 11-acre plot in Pearland’s Lower Kirby District.

The Pearland Economic Development Council and Lonza have been in discussions since 2014, according to the Houston Business Journal. Fort Worth-based Rogue Architects is the architect of record.

The new facility will have 100k SF of office space, labs and other areas that will facilitate the production of its viral gene and virally modified therapeutics. [HBJ]
