Two Shell Plaza is getting a multi-million dollar repositioning and a new name. The property is moving its main entrance from Walker to Louisiana and will henceforth be known as 811 Louisiana… at least until a tenant claims naming rights. (This is your chance to name a building after your favorite '80s sitcom.) Hines is overseeing the renovation, which includes a new entrance, lobby, and lower façade. This is one of many modernizations in the building’s history; in fact, Hines did a $20M infrastructure upgrade last year. The 26-story, 566k SF office building has several blocks of contiguous space available. Construction starts in April and will complete in April 2015. Page is overseeing design, Balfour Beatty is GC, and Colvill is handling leasing.
