…we’re No. 4. The Atlantic Cities broke down job creation per capita, and then further by wage level, and Texas held steady in each metric. From 2010 to 2013, Texas added 794,239 jobs, which is 299 per 10,000 people in the state. North Dakota blew away the competition, creating an impressive 940 jobs per 10,000 residents. (Some surprises in the top 10 are Michigan—233 jobs—and Minnesota—226 jobs.) And although dividing out by income level stirs up the rankings, Texas can be pleased with our broad-based recovery, as we’re fourth in both low-income (128 jobs per 10,000 people) and high-income (93.2 jobs) creation.
