Good Co, the Houston-based family of restaurants known for barbecue and pecan pie, is renovating Armadillo Palace on Kirby Drive.
The 5,400 SF honky tonk and restaurant will be expanded three-fold to include an indoor music venue, outdoor beer garden and stage, cocktail bar and occupancy of over 1,000, according to the Houston Business Journal. Goode Co president Levi Goode says planning began four years ago and the company has had great reception from the community.
The new space will host acts from Texas country to Tejano and include a menu overhaul. Collaborative Projects is the designer and contractor of the project, scheduled to be complete in Q1 2016. [HBJ]
