Construction Kicks Off On Water Street Project

Construction has started on the long-delayed Water Street project in Las Colinas.

The major mixed-use development from Gables Residential is on O’Connor Road near State Highway 114. It was delayed during the recession and has been a highly anticipated addition to the area, Dallas Morning News reports. Water Street will include a residential and a retail component with the first phase set to include more than 300 apartments and 60k SF of retail. WDG was tasked with project design.

Gables is in the process of wrapping up its new Uptown development on McKinney Avenue, which includes a 44k SF Whole Foods and a 239-unit apartment and townhome community. [DMN]
