AllianceTexas developer Hillwood just acquired control of 600 acres of continuous land in the Alliance Westport sector off FM 156.

The acquisition allows Hillwood to increase its industrial development potential to 36M SF in Tarrant and Denton counties and gives future tenants prime locations positioned between Alliance Airport and BNSF Railway Alliance Intermodal Facility.

With control of the land, Hillwood can now offer large-scale logistics, manufacturing and aviation sites that are situated next to the expanded runways at Alliance Airport, which is one of only a few industrial gateways by air in North Texas.

“This is one of the most significant land acquisitions in the history of AllianceTexas,” Hillwood Senior Vice President Tony Creme said. “As Alliance Airport and the BNSF Railway Alliance Intermodal Facility continue to expand and strengthen the foundation for AllianceTexas’ commercial growth, this new property in Alliance Westport will serve as a strategic link between these two pieces of critical logistics infrastructure and offer unparalleled connectivity to our customers.”

The Alliance Airport is expected to grow in business as the years progress with the airport expanding its runways to 11,000 feet, allowing more air cargo and direct flights to travel in and out of the airport.

Alliance Westport already has more than 8M SF of industrial and aviation development, including logistics facilities used by Amazon Air and UPS.
