In the midst of the NBA finals, Frisco Square invited area brokers out to rub shoulders with one of the NBA's most notable persons, Don ?Nellie? Nelson (if you've been living under a rock, he's a former Boston Celtic, Mavericks coach, and Golden Sate Warrior coach). We caught him here (right) with Cushman & Wakefield's Greg Biggs. The duo won a shuffleboard tourney at KingsX.

The tenant rep broker event was designed to promote Frisco's city center, which has office space, retail (including a new Cinemark, pictured), multifamily, and Frisco's City Hall. About 10 teams from CBRE, The Retail Connection, CRESA, Grubb & Ellis, Cushman & Wakefield, and JLL all competed in the event with Nellie (who is a good friend to Jim Leslie, one of the Frisco Square owners). JLL SVP Jeff Eckert tells us he has multiple larger deals in the works at Frisco Square that will likely be build-to-suits and new tenant prospect activity is great. ?We're pleased with the velocity that we are seeing in the market,? he says. ?There is certainly a tightening of available office space in the Upper Tollway office market, too.?
