The Ice Bucket Challenge Continues

Yesterday Baum Realty Group's Mike Demetriou nominated some of his coworkers for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Voila. Here's David Baum, Nicole Cardot, and Laura Haning getting iced for a good cause. They've nominated some additional Baum folks, including: Adam Secher, Brad Teitelbaum, and Allen Joffe. They also nominated Sam and Jesse Evans from Ale Syndicate, a Green Exchange tenant, and Irv and Shelly of "Irv and Shelly's Fresh Picks" fame, another Baum client. Good luck to all and thank you for supporting such an important cause!

We were also thrilled when Marc Realty's Elliot Weiner (nominated by the MRR guys) told us the Weiner Marc Foundation has donated $500 to support ALS research. Our industry's generosity continues to amaze us.

In an interesting twist, Bear Construction decided on an ALS No Ice Bucket Challenge. Watch to see what we mean. The team is donating all $500 to help fight ALS and nominated Rex Electric to do the same. Remember, nominees, you all have 24 hours to send marissa.oberlander@bisnow.com a video of yourself completing the challenge (dumping a bucket of ice water on your head) and/or donate to the ALS Association. We'll post everyone's videos here. Some pointers:

  • If you're not YouTube inclined, just email the video to marissa.oberlander@bisnow.com and we'll take care of the rest.

  • We suggest nominating three commercial real estate folks outside of your firm to spread the love.

  • We'll help notify the nominees to ensure they're aware and their ice makers are full.

  • Good luck to all. Let's #StrikeOutALS!
