Studio Gang Architects has been chosen to design the campus for a Southwest Side charter school. The Academy for Global Citizenship chose Studio Gang to design its 60k SF campus, which will include an international learning lab, professional development center for teachers, early childhood education center and an urban farm, in addition to traditional classrooms. The school, which has been in the works for five years, claims to be first “net positive school campus in the Midwest,” according to Curbed. AGC has raised $350k for the project and was also awarded a $1M challenge grant. It’s unknown when construction will begin. [Curbed]
