Vermilion Unveils Plans For Eight-Story Lakeview Mixed-Use Project

Vermilion Development is seeking a zoning change so it can move forward with a proposed multifamily development on the site of a former gas station in Lakeview. If approved, the vacant Mobil station at 3901 N Broadway would be replaced by a 105-foot-tall building housing 100 apartments.

Vermilion is including 2k SF of retail and 65 interior parking spaces. DNAInfo reports the site is currently zoned for 21 apartments and a maximum building height of 45 feet.

Lakeview residents may find out more about Vermilion's plans at a community meeting 7pm Thursday at Gill Park, 825 W Sheridan Rd. Vermilion's zoning change request will be heard by the Zoning Committee March 7. [DNA]
