Local tech millionaire and Vistex CEO Sanjay Shah paid $17M cash for the 89th floor penthouse at Trump International Hotel & Tower, according to the Chicago Tribune. At over 14k SF, it breaks the record for most expensive residential real estate sale in the city’s history. (List price was $32M. Yikes.) And it almost broke another: The unit will soon be the second-highest residence in the Western Hemisphere, after a new Park Avenue tower in New York opens for business. The deal takes the last developer-owned unit at Trump off the market, building rep Chezi Rafaeli told the Tribune.
