CMK broke ground yesterday on Riverline, its massive multifamily development along the Chicago River that will transform the South Loop yet again.
Riverline Phase 1 features two high-rises with views facing downtown and the river. A 29-story, 420-unit rental tower dubbed Ancora will include 24 townhomes and skyhomes on the first five floors, and apartment units on the 7th to 29th floors. Current, an 18-story, 251-unit condominium building, will include 28 townhomes and skyhomes on the first five floors and condos on the 7th to 18th floors.

The CMK/Lendlease JV bought 8.8 acres between River City and Roosevelt Road in March 2015, followed by another 7.3 acres between Harrison Street and River City three months later. Phase 1 also includes a 3.5-acre riverfront park. When completed, Riverline will have a half-mile of uninterrupted riverwalk for residents and neighbors to enjoy.
