1136-40 S Wabash Ave might be an unglamorous surface parking lot, but developer Keith Giles and the City have big plans to fancy it up with a new 24-story, $64M tower. Giles bought the land for $4.4M from the City, and the ensuing multifamily tower will have 280 apartments, 84 parking spaces and approximately 10K SF of ground-level retail space, reports Curbed. It will be designed by Solomon Cordwell Buenz and sit across the street from CMK’s two-tower project. [Curbed]
