Marquee At Block 37 Is Now Open

The first renters are moving into the largest apartment building to be delivered in downtown Chicago in decades. Marquee at Block 37, the 690-unit project from CIM Group and Golub & Co atop Block 37 shopping center, opened yesterday.

When we spoke with Golub EVP Lee Golub in February, he said the timing was right to capitalize on Block 37's air rights and build Marquee, benefiting from Block 37's successful transformation into a retail and office destination. Golub CEO Michael Newman told us last month Block 37's Loop location is ideal as downtown morphs into a 24/7 live/work/play destination, and that Marquee will be in high demand from renters.

Marquee houses studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans with extensive on-site amenities including a cinema lounge, an outdoor pool and rooftop hot tub, sundeck and terraces, a game room, penthouse level fitness center, a dog run and washing station, several coffee bars and an event room with a catering kitchen.
