With a permit in hand, renovations can start on a $3M loft conversion project on Sheffield and Fletcher, across the street from the Vic Theater in Lakeview, Curbed reports. The five-story brick warehouse, the former home of Anderson Brothers Storage and Moving, was sold in 2013 to developer Kearby Kaiser, who plans 80 loft-style units (a logical choice for the industrial structure). Amenities will include a rooftop gym, parking and a bike room. The project is also blocks from a planned eight-story multifamily tower at Clark and Belmont, a huge change for one of the neighborhood’s most alternative intersections. Could this be the start of a Lakeview building boom?
