AMLI Residential has made the first private purchase of a Divvy station since the program was launched in 2013. The developer paid the city $56k to install a bike-sharing station outside two of its apartment buildings in the South Loop. The 15-dock station at Clark and Ninth streets provides 10 bikes and is already open. AMLI covered the cost of installing the station, which is operated for public use like all others in the 476-station, 4,760-bike Divvy system. Divvy was launched a little over two years ago and has been used on more than 5 million trips. [Trib]
