Another South Loop Step Forward for CMK

We reported last month that CMK, led by residential developer Colin Kihnke, is making a big bet on the South Loop and its growing momentum thanks to projects from the likes of AMLI, JDL and McCaffery Interests (The Roosevelt Collection, pictured). After topping out its 16-story condo tower at 1345 S Wabash, CMK just got a permit for a 28-story, 307-unit, $53M project next door, Curbed reports. The projects give new life to a site formerly home to the failed Glashaus condo development. Like Related Midwest’s 500-unit South Loop Luxury by Related, let’s hope it’s another new beginning for a neighborhood filled with development projects hit hard by the downturn.
