More redevelopment is coming to Fulton Market, if Bridgford Foods gets its way. The food service company, best known for making breads and meat products, unveiled plans for an ambitious mixed-use redevelopment of its Fulton Market campus.

Bridgford revealed renderings during a community meeting at Merit School of Music yesterday. The designs from Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture call for two buildings. One at 170 North Green St would be a 13-story structure with 314 apartments, ground-level retail and two floors of parking. The other structure across the street at 171 North Green would be a five-story office building (shown) with more retail, Curbed reports.

10% of the apartments would be set aside for affordable housing, the minimum required under the city's Affordable Requirements Ordinance. The two floors of parking, a total of 265 spaces, is likely to be debated between Bridgford and residents. Bridgford defends that number because it's planning for most of the residential units to be two- and three-bedroom footprints, but the site is close enough to the Morgan Street "L" station to qualify as a TOD. Bridgford is looking to capitalize on all the activity in Fulton Market and is seeking a development partner. [Curbed]
