The Blackstone Group's purchase of River Point North was finalized late last month. Blackstone bought the 1.3M SF mixed-use building at 350 N Orleans from Shorenstein Properties for $378M. That's a bit shy of the $390M originally reported. The 15-story tower formerly known as the Apparel Center is home to the Chicago Sun-Times, RocketFuel, the Illinois Institute of Art and MWH Global. It's Blackstone's second major downtown buy of the year behind its $1.3B purchase of Willis Tower.
