The first phase of construction will soon begin on the 18-story Viceroy Hotel project in the former Cedar Hotel site on State Street. Viceroy and Convexity Properties submitted plans for a 180-room hotel at 1118 N State in 2014. The city issued a construction permit for the project last week.
Convexity is JV'ing with Viceroy Hotel Group on the project, which will preserve the Cedar Hotel's four-story facade and iconic sign. Goettsch Partners is handling design duties, according to Curbed. The $7M project is expected to deliver next year. [Curbed]
