We thought we?d stumbled onto the set of Masterpiece Theatre, but it was actually Magellan's Joel Carlins and Senior Suites' Bill Kaplan, who spoke along with Plante & Moran's Guy Ackermann and JRG's Harry Huzenis. Joel says his Lakeshore East development is succeeding because most of its condos sold before the crunch, but he's still looking for a hotel client for the Aqua Tower. Bill encourages niche development, since senior living is the only asset class in the black during the recession. |
