Equity's Revised Garden Garage Approved

The Boston Redevelopment Authority approved Equity Residential's redevelopment of the West End’s 536k SF Garden Garage. Look for a single tower with about 470 rental units, retail, parking, and an acre of public open space.

The project, as approved, is smaller by about 6k SF than the most recent proposal, and it includes 55 fewer parking spots, reports Boston Real Estate Times. Equity will also increase its affordable housing contribution by $1.2M to $8M total. Based on the rendering, it'll also plant several more ghost trees. [BRET]
