The race is on: six development teams have submitted plans to build a hotel on Summer Street across from the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.
The site, known as Parcel D2, was considered for a 1,200-room hotel, but that's off. The owner of the land, the Massachusetts Port Authority, wants a smaller property, the Boston Business Journal reports.
The teams are: Accordia Partners; The Fallon Co/Capstone Development; New Boston Hospitality/Omni Hotels and Resorts; The Drew Co; Norwich Partners/Peebles Corp; and Pritzker Realty Group/Hyatt Hotels. [BBJ]
