Workbar plans to open a new location in Framingham in June, continuing the coworking operator's Greater Boston expansion.

The 21K SF space will be located at 111 Speen St., Workbar announced Wednesday. That building was acquired in April by Paradigm Properties and North Colony Asset Management for $13M.

The space marks Workbar's eighth location in Greater Boston and 11th in the country. The company said it wanted to expand in the MetroWest part of the region, which has seen a wave of new apartment development and retail businesses opening.

“As one of the fastest growing and most diverse cities in Massachusetts, we believe Framingham is the perfect choice for Workbar's 11th location,” Workbar CEO Sarah Travers said in a press release. “Following the outstanding success of our Workbar Needham location, we knew that we needed to make the MetroWest region our next priority.”

Workbar has embarked on a significant expansion this year with multiple locations and a new partnership taking shape.

Last month, the coworking company partnered with Synergy Investments to bring short-term-lease space to 11 of the landlord's downtown Boston office buildings, the Boston Business Journal reported.

The Synergy locations include Center Plaza, 10 Post Office Square and 10 Franklin St. Workbar also announced plans to open its 10th location in Quincy, a 21K SF space at 100 Hancock St., a building Synergy owns.

In September, Workbar opened a location in Woburn. The 22K SF space opened in Unicorn Park, a 28-acre office park acquired by National Development.

Workbar has additional locations in Arlington, Burlington, Cambridge, Needham, Norwood and Salem, plus partner locations in over 100 international coworking spaces.
