Mom Thanks for My Valentine

Joann Breuer is eternally grateful to her mother for alerting her to the young man who moved next door to her Orange County home 21 years ago. Four months later, they married. Long a single mom, she never thought she’d meet Mr. Right. But this Boston bred, Northeastern-trained engineer won her and her children over; his cooking skills helped. In ’08, they did a relo to Boston and now share the title of managing partner of HG Cornerstone, construction and engineering consulting firm, and HG Cornerstone Properties, a multifamily investment sales brokerage. Already, the champagne is chilling for Valentine’s Day, when Joel will once again cook, this time at their Cambridge home.
