Target To Open 20k SF Urban Concept Store In Bensonhurst

Target has signed a 20k SF lease for an urban concept store at 6401 18th Ave in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn.

The 10-year lease was signed last week, the Commercial Observer reports. It will be the chain’s second such store in Brooklyn. Last week, a similar store opened at City Point in Downtown Brooklyn.

Welco Realty’s Jerry Welkins repped the landlord, Alva Partnership, while Ripco Real Estate’s Jeffrey Howard repped Target. Asking rent was not disclosed.

Right now there are 32 of the urban concept stores in operation, with another 31 planned to open before 2020. The Bensonhurst store is set to open in October. [CO]
