EQ Office’s Zachary Freeman is jumping to SJP Properties, the New York firm announced this week.

Freeman is joining as senior vice president of leasing and marketing at the company, charged with overseeing its New York City portfolio, which includes SJP’s office and retail building, 11 Times Square.

He will also work to identify investment, acquisition, development and joint venture partnership opportunities in the city. At EQ Office, a Blackstone-owned U.S. office portfolio company formerly named Equity Office, Freeman was a vice president and the head of leasing for the New York City and Greenwich office properties.

“We’re confident that Zach’s expertise and skill set will make him the ideal complement to our first-rate team,” SJP Properties CEO Steven Pozycki said in a statement. “Zach’s knowledge of the local market, as well as the deep relationships he has forged throughout the brokerage and investment communities, will serve us well as we strategically expand our New York City footprint.”

Before joining EQ Office, Freeman worked at CBRE, where he specialized in landlord representation and leased 9.5M SF of commercial space.

He was involved in the leasing of 11 Madison Ave., and with Blackstone he worked on the implementation of capital improvements at Park Avenue Tower and 114 West 41st St.
