Plans Filed For Two Residential Towers At Brooklyn Bridge Park

ODA Architecture has filed plans for a pair of residential towers set to rise at Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 6.

50 Bridge Park Drive (right) will be 30 stories tall, not only making it the taller of the two towers but much taller than the 14- and 16-story buildings proposed in 2015 by Brooklyn Bridge Park president Regina Myer, NY Yimby reports.

Also missing from the plans are a 75-seat preschool, a 1,500 SF community facility and ground-floor retail space. It’s not known why the changes were made.

The new design is slated to have 266 apartments—with 126 units in 50 Bridge Park Drive and 140 units in 15 Bridge Park—113 units less than last year’s proposal.

50 Bridge Park Drive’s units will be spread across 275k SF, averaging 2,178 SF each. Its second floor will have two units, the third through the 25th will have five units each, and the remaining four floors will have four units each. Some of the units are slated to be market-rate.

Amenities will include a gym, a dog-washing station, a package room and a top-floor lounge.

Slated to stand 16 stories and 155 feet tall, 15 Bridge Park Drive could include 4,181 SF of retail and 133k SF of residential. The residential floors will have 10 to 13 units each.

Amenities would include a gym, a studio and a playroom on the second floor and a lounge on the 15th. 80% of the apartments are designated as affordable, while the remaining will be market-rate. [NYY]
