Ivanhoé And Blackstone Create Management Firm To Oversee Stuy Town

After officially closing on the sale of Stuyvesant Town-Peter Cooper Village in a $5.3B JV two weeks ago, Ivanhoé Cambridge Group and The Blackstone Group have decided to launch their own property management group to oversee the massive Manhattan apartment complex.

Rick Haydux—who until recently managed the Boca Raton Resort & Club—took over as GM of the 11,200-unit Lower East Side complex Jan. 1 and will also live there, according to The Real Deal.

Blackstone co-head of US acquisitions Nadeem Meghji says, "Rick has worked with Blackstone properties for almost a decade and is someone we know well and trust."

CompassRock, the property management arm of special servicer CWCapital, has managed the property since 2012. [TRD]
