LAST NIGHT'S NYCREW GALA

It may still be autumn, but the forecast for scattered snow flurriesappropriately ushered in NYCREW's 2008 Winter Gala and annual awards held last night at Astra in the D&D Building on Third Ave.

We snapped NYCREW's board of directors: ING Real Estate's Karen Ramos; Cole Schotz's Wendy Berger; Sklar Realty Group's Lydia Sklar; Prudential Douglas Elliman's Faith Hope Consolo; HSBC'sKate Stentebjerg-Olesen; Moody's Karen Nickerson; Chicago Title Insurance's Pat Lopinski; Community Development Trust's Joan Berkowitz; Ferzan, Robbins & Associates' Liz Muskat (2009 president-elect); and Anna Hertzman (president). Anna and Karen have a bottle and diaper-filled 2009 ahead of them—they're bothdue (with girls)in January. Perhaps they can form a Commercial Real Estate Babies chapter.

Westcoast Group's Louise Guido, Situs Companies' Lorraine Ranftle and David Stern (one of the brave men attending), and Westbrook Partner's Elaine Philis. Elaine is excited that her firm just raised a $2.5B fund, but like most investors, it's sitting on the sidelines until at least next year. Another reason for the smile: she nabbed Situs' award for referrals, aka "The Member with the Largest Rolodex."

Ted Moudis Associates' Lucy Carter, Lydia Sklar, Faith Hope Consolo, Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal's Barbara Champoux and Justdan Realty's Karen Dome. Faith tells us she's been busy working with executives from Florida to India to get through the uncharted waters of this market. But in the end, she predicts, everyone will bestronger and smarter, because executives have been forced tosharpen their pencils.

Committee chairs: Elaine Philis, Asset Preservation's Pamela Michaels, Fidelity National's Isabelle Pullis, Commercial Mortgage Securities Association's Dottie Cunningham, STUDIOS Architecture's Deena Baikowitz, Barbara Champoux, Citibank'sLaura Walker, and Trinity Real Estate's Sharon Khurdan. Dottie and Barbara were among members who won the Cushman & Wakefield Award for Mentoring for their work on the community outreach committee (look below for complete list of award winners).

Situs' Lindsay Corbett, Cassin & Cassin's Anita Hyland, andLorraine Ranftle. Lindsay and Lorraine tell us that their firm has been very active with the Ronald McDonald House on East 73rd Street. The executives visit every other month and have so far raised over $200k.

MacInnis,Ward & Associates' Cassandra Pratt, Lisa Ferrisi andMary Ward. Those beautiful smiles are in need these days: Theexecutive search firm has been very busy holding the hands of more and more laid-off employees who come see them.

Avid runners Diana Elton of First Republic Bank and April Humbliasof SA Group. April recently finished her first 5k race for Richard's Run, and Diana will be running a 5k "Turkey Trot" the day after Thanksgiving. Perfect for burning off pumpkin pie.

Incoming board for '09. Returning vets from the first picture embrace new directors for next year: Sharon Khurdan, Pamela Michaels, Isabelle Pullis, Karen Dome and Jo Hastings. Some goals of NYCREW for 2009, according to president-elect Obama, er, we mean Muskat: increasing membership and presence in the community, as well as ramping up its speakers and events. Oh, and and another great Winter Gala, of course.
