Newell Brands, which just completed a $15B merger with Jarden Corp, is relocating its headquarters from Atlanta to SJP Properties' Waterfront Corporate Center III in Hoboken.

The company—known for Rubbermaid containers and Sharpie markers—has been based in Atlanta since 2008 and will keep a presence there, reports the Wall Street Journal. The move puts the company closer to its top executives; CEO Michael Polk lives in New Jersey, while newly appointed CFO Ralph Nicoletti (previously with Tiffany & Co) and COO Richard Sansone are based in New York.

Fewer than a dozen jobs will be relocated from Atlanta, and 250 to 300 people will eventually work in Hoboken. The company received $27M in tax incentives from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority. [WSJ]
